To Help You Experience Worship We Offer:
Child Care Services - A nursery is provided at both the 9:45 and 11:05 a.m. Worship Services. The room is located downstairs in the Fellowship Hall.
Activity bags and children’s bulletins can be found in the narthex.
The Crying Room is also available and can be found in the back of the narthex next to the AV room. Parents with small children that may be a bit active or fidgety are invited to use the room if needed. (You can see and hear the worship services while using the crying room!) If you need assistance, an usher will be glad to help.
Hearing Impaired: If you find it difficult to hear during the worship service, ear phones for the hearing impaired are available. Please ask an usher for assistance. They will be glad to get the hearing device for you and show you how to use it. Also, Interpreting will be available for the deaf community at the 9:45 a.m. service.
Fill out a prayer Card! If you wish, prayer cards can be found on the table in the narthex or the book racks in the pews in the Sanctuary. Fill one out and place it in the box in the narthex. All requests are prayed for during the 11:05 a.m. worship service by our Prayer partners from the congregation.
Visitors: We are glad that you have joined us in Worship this morning. It is our hope that you find both a warm welcome and meaningful worship here at Trinity. Please feel free to join us in all of our activities. We would ask that you fill out a visitor card (they can be found in the book racks in the pews,) and then drop it into the offering plate so that we may acknowledge your presence by sending you a welcome letter or answering any of your questions.
Rally Day ... Soles4Souls — On September 18th, we will hold our Rally Day activities for our Sunday School program. We will be collecting new and gently used shoes for Soles4Souls. People are also encouraged to go barefooted that Sunday!!! Experience for a moment how others live... and then give them hope and help through your gift of shoes!!
Opportunities for Fellowship
Time.4.You - is a new support group for those who are caregivers. We meet on the 2nd Wednesday of the Month at 11:00 a.m. The next meeting will be September 14th. If you find yourself providing care for someone, come take a few minutes to find support, encouragement and time for you!!
Trinity’s 3rd Annual 5k Run/Walk to benefit the Food Banks of Southern New Jersey will be on Saturday, October 8th at 9:00 a.m. Every week 12,000 people in Southern New Jersey need some sort of assistance with food. Be one in our goal of 100 to run/walk. Fill out the $10.00 registration in the narthex and bring a bag of food the day of the race. Rain or Shine!
Do you have a condition such as diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure, heart disease, chronic pain, or anxiety? Do you feel that your illnesses have taken over your life? Do you care for someone else with all of these problems? YOU can take charge of your life by attending a 6 session class provided FREE by the State of New Jersey. The classes will be held here at Trinity at the end of September through October. They will be from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM on Tuesdays. Pick up a brochure in the Narthex or just sign up under the poster on the bulletin board in the narthex.

Here is the schedule: At 9:45 a.m. Nursery- 6th Grade, Adults At 11:00 a.m. Jr. Hi & Sr. Hi, and Adults. Find a class that helps you encounter Christ!
Dawn and Dan Flitcraft will be participating in MS150 Bike to The Shore on Sept. 24th and 25th to raise money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Organization. If you would like to support them to raise money for patients and their families affected by this disease, you can donate online at bikepae.nationalmssociety.org. Click on "Make a Donation," and then type in Dan's name. If you don't want to donate online, contact Dawn at 609-202-0680 to donate.
Opportunities to Serve
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Well, not really. But we need to start thinking about our church's Nativity display. This year, we are trying to give our manger scene figures a facelift and we need your help:
If you work in an industry that might have access to mannequins, let us know
If you have fabric to sew "outfits" for our Nativity figures, let us know!
If you are interested in crafting these costumes, let us know!

Address Please! College Students or their Parents! Please give us your college address so that we might send you College Goodie Packages and encourage you throughout the school year. It does not matter if you are away or staying home, we still want you on the list. Just sign up in the narthex or e-mail the office at Trinity-umc@verizon.net.
"Why Heaven?" Is there a Hell and how could God do this or that? An eye opening discussion from Mark Galli's book "God Wins" will be the next book we discuss in Pastor Glenn's Book Club which is set for October 4th at 7:30 p.m. Sign up in the narthex to get your book by September.
Breads of the World! On Sunday, Oct. 2 we will sharing in World Communion Sunday and having all kinds of breads for you to try in the narthex. If you would like to share a bread from your native country or tradition please sign up in the narthex. All breads need to be delivered on Saturday, Oct. 1 by 10:00 a.m.
Forgiveness! The Inner Struggle is the sermon series that Pastor Conaway is sharing these next few weeks. Today we look at forgiveness and the enemy. In the coming weeks we will look at forgiveness in our family and learning to forgive ourselves.
PITMAN MANOR CLOTHING SALE will be on Tuesday, September 13th, with donations accepted on Monday, September 12th, all day. Residents will be shopping from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Public shopping is from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Good clean clothing, please.
PITMAN MANOR INDOOR YARD SALE will be on Thursday, October 20th from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Donations will be accepted on Tuesday October 18th and Wednesday, October 19th. Good jewelry, books, attic treasures, linens, collectibles, games and puzzles. Mullica Hill is again in charge of the bake sale. We hope many of you will be able to bake. Calls will be made for baked goods.
Thank you for all your help for both these projects. Half the profits are donated to the Fellowship Fund and the other half will be used for residents at the Manor.

College Treat Boxes: Our college kids are off to another year at their institutions of higher learning. Let's let them know that their church family is thinking about them. On September 18th, we will begin collecting items for "goodie packages" to be sent to them. Please put your donations in the box in the narthex. Any individually wrapped snacks (cookies, nuts, pretzels, granola bars, popcorn, etc.) would be terrific. We know our college kids greatly appreciated them.
Opportunities for Fellowship
Men’s Saturday Pre-Chore Breakfast! The Date is September 17th at 8:00 a.m. in the fellowship hall. We are serving up eggs and bacon and a Tomato! That is right -- a Tomato. Come find out why? Then if you can stick around for an hour after the breakfast as we do some light clean up of the church. Sign Up in the narthex for the breakfast or e-mail the office.
Young At Hearts (55 and older) A New Year is upon us and we will be kicking it off on Wednesday, September 28th with a trip to Philadelphia Franklin Institute to see the exhibit “Mummies of the World.” The cost will be $20.00 per person which includes your ticket and transportation. Please sign up by September 12th in the narthex. October 26th we will be here for the program “Let There Be Light” and don’t forget in March of 2012 we are going to see Jonah at Sight and Sound in Lancaster.
Looking Forward
COMING SEPTEMBER 18! The unveiling of Trinity’s New Web Site. We will take you through the new site right in worship; how you can tap in from your smart phone, follow us on twitter, and in coming weeks catch up on a missed Sunday by listening to the service on our podcast.
Summer is "over" and it's time to begin ringing those bells again! We will have our first practice on Wednesday, September 14th. Setup at 7:00, practice begins at 7:15. I hope everyone had a great summer, good vacations, and that you all are looking forward to another year of ringing those bells!
Looking ahead: If you are interested in joining senior choir this fall, please note that we are moving rehearsal time to be from 7:00-8:15 p.m. We hope this earlier start will allow some new members to come out and join us! Our first rehearsal will be the Thursday after Labor Day, September 8th. Hope to see many new faces then!
Cherub Choir (ages 4 – 2nd Grade) begins this Thursday September 15th at 7:00 p.m.
Junior Choir (Grade 3-8) begins this Thursday, September 15th at 7:30 p.m.
Committee Meetings: The Finance Committee will be meeting on Monday, September 19th at 7:00 p.m.
The Administrative Council will be meeting on Monday, September 19th at 8:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall and we will be looking at our 2012 goals.
Opportunities For Study
On Wednesday evenings, beginning Wednesday, September 28th from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m., Janis Gansert and Denise Manna will begin a women's bible study. "Esther - It's Tough Being a Woman", a study by Beth Moore will be the topic. Space is limited to 13 participants, so please sign up in the Narthex if you are interested.
LAST CALL! This is the Final Sunday to sign up for Disciple Bible Study which will begin on Sunday, September 25th at 7:00 p.m. You can either sign up in the narthex or contact Pastor Glenn at gconaway.tumc@verizon.net.

Imagine Your Life Without Fear. Please join us as we meet to study FEARLESS, by Max Lucado September 11th in the train room at 9:45 a.m.. Max challenges us with this statement, “Fear will always knock on your door. Just don’t invite it in for dinner. And for heaven’s sake don’t offer it a bed for the night.” This study book is such that each chapter is significant and wonderful on its’ own, so feel free to join us even if you can’t make it every Sunday. Class will begin on Sunday, September 11th at 11:05 a.m. downstairs in the Library.
The New Upper Room and Daily Bread Devotional Guides can be found across from the main office. They are free for the taking. Get into God’s Word through daily devotions.
Women's Bible Study: The Thursday morning Women's Bible study will begin meeting again on October 6th at 9:30 a.m. They will be studying the book of Acts - Seeing God's Power in Action. Whether you are just beginning your study of the bible or are a long time student, we hope you'll join this group. Study guides will be available at our first meeting. Just bring your Bible and a desire to begin understanding what the Holy Spirit can do in you, and in the world. For more info, please contact Diane Porter at 223-0466.
Office Schedule: The normal office hours resume this week. Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. Please remember that our secretary is on lunch break from 12:30 p.m.-1:00 p.m. Also, any announcements for the bulletin need to be in the office by 9:00 a.m. Thursday mornings. Due to printing and time constraints please realize we cannot extend that deadline.
The Praise Band will be playing "First Friday's" again this year at Amazing Grace, 33 S. Main St., Mullica Hill. The music starts at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free. Our next appearance will be Friday, October 7th.
ATTENTION LADIES: Here's an opportunity you won't want to miss. There will be a Christian Women's Retreat, January 13-15, at the Bird-in-Hand Inn in Lancaster. If you are looking for a fun-filled, spiritual weekend with the girls, then this is for you. Our own Judy & Toni (from Synergy) provide the music. It's a great way to start off the new year!
Kid’s Alley Update!
Here is the new schedule for packing lunches for Kid’s Alley on Saturday Mornings. We begin at 8:30 a.m. and are usually finished up within an hour. We encourage anyone who would like to help with this very important ministry to come out and join us on the following dates (all Saturday Mornings): September 24th, October 29th, November 12th, and December 17th.
